Amazon book store is one of my favorite web site I often access. As everyone knew, we can search books and order books. In the Amazon, we can read the reviews written by the reader of each books. Many of them are useful, however, some of them are unreasonable statement that only critisizing the author of the book.
For example, Yamada Yuusuke which is the author of many best sellers are often critisized by many reviewers on the Amazon book store. They say that his books' sentences are awful and junior high school student could wright better. Needless to say, this comment is nonsense. I surely must say that his sentence is a little bad, compared to many different authors. But there is a reason. Yamada's first book which became best seller was self-published. For this reason, he became a writer without winning any award. So his first book was written when he was amateur. This is why the sentence of his books are awful. However, Yamada published more than 30 books by now and his sentence improved remarkably. But many of reviewers still complaining about the books he published at the beggining. Ofcourse, there are many fantastic reviews which is useful for me to deside whether I should buy the book or not. But I hope the reviewers to be more mannerful and stop writing the reviews to criticize the author.
Not only books but I can search DVDs or games too. It is useful to read reviews before purchasing the item. But as I wrote before, some of the reviews are just useless and awful.

Japan×England
The last day of May is the soccer game Japan and England. England's FIFA ranking is 8 whereas Japan is 45. At first, every people thought Japan will lose awfully. Because Japan lost to Korea by 2-0 last match. And England is far better team than Korea. However, the game went far beyond everyone's expectations.
At seven miniute, Japan scored from short corner kick of Tulio. England players must surprised by this moment. However, life was not so easy, at 27 minute of second half, Tulio scored own goal. And at 38 minute, Nakazawa scored own goal. As the result, Japan lost England by 1-2.
Japan had lost, however, England players never scored a goal. All 3 goals are scored by Japanese players. And, Japan goal keeper Kawashima stopped the penalty kick by Ranperd. I was very excited at that moment. I screamed and shouted and punched the sofa I was sitting thousand times.
Now, Japan has left one more friendly much with Cote d'Ivoire before the first game of World Cup which is VS Cameroon. Cote d'Ivoire and Cameroon are the both African team and thier strategies are alike. So it is said that if Japan could win Cote d'Ivoire, Japan can win Cameroon. Win the first much with Cameroon is almost essensial to pass the group league with Cameroon, Holland, and Denmark. I hope team Japan do their best to make their condition well and do the good match with Cote d'Ivoire.

E-book future
Reading books on the electronic machine has been the dream of human being from long time ago. On third of April, Apple released the device to make this dream come true, the I-pad. Now, I-pad and Kindle are the top two device of what we call e-book. E-book provides many advantages for readers, writers, and publishing company.
E-book enables us publish and distribute books easily. It is said that about half of people in Japan once dreamed to be a novelist, or a writer. Recently, amateur writer publishing books are difficult. To do this, we have to either win award or self-publish a book which costs a lot of money. However, on Amazon, which has the largest share on distributing e-books, 450 dollars is the cost that writers have to serve. This is extreamly cheap compared to million dollars which an average cost needs to self-publish paper books.
In the Amazon e-book store, they sell 26 dollars hard-cover book for only 9.99 dollars. The average cost of hard-cover books are more than 20 dollars in America. It’s almost one-third of the original price. Somebody might say that selling books in such low price will result a low income. However, the data shows us that these cheap version books sold more enough to cover up the low income than selling 26 dollar books. This is a big advantage for publishing company, selling cheap books and earning more money. Moreover, publishing company doesn’t have to take a risk of copying too much copies.
Readers can carry more than one thousand books with them to anywhere with I-pad. Also, at home, book shelves take a lot of space of our room. I-pad will vacuum the book shelf to its small body. Adding to that, books in the I-pad or Kindle will never get old or get lost. These advantages will surely make book-readers’ life happier.
I-pad will serve us convenient life for these reasons. E-books are the revolution of pulishing. Now, other than Apple or Kindle, more companies all over the world are joining to e-book or e-book reader. They will surely change our lives amazingly.

Japan×Korea
On the 24 of May, Japan and Korea national soccer teams played a game. Japan was losing many games these days, so Japanese hoped their national team to win. However, Japan lost to Korea by 0-2. There were many reason for defeat.
First of all, 8 out of 11 field players in Korea's team play abroad whereas only 3 out of 11 in Japan in that match. Especially Park ji Sung(Mid fielder in Korea's team) play in Manchester United, which is one of the greatest team all over the world. And he is the very player who scored in the match, too. cond, Japan's national team doesn't have will to score. Many Japanese players are good at their technique. However, many of them doesn't dribble and shoot by them selves. They only pass around the ball among the players.
By this defeat, many citizens are very mad. Most of them think that Japan's national soccer team will lose in the world cup. Japan's national team has two more practice matches until the first game of World Cup, VS Cameroon. Which are VS England and VS Cote d'Ivoire. I hope they will go to the World Cup in there good condition.

2. RESPONDING TO THE PLOT
(e) Which incidents in the novel did you find wonderful, surprising, comical, or even shocking?
In this novel, the main character Ram is challenging the quiz show. At the end of the story, he finally reached to the final question to earn billion rupees. Before the final question, the program went to the commercial break. During this break, Prem Kumar who gives the question said that Ram can’t answer the final question for sure. So, Kumar asked that final question to Ram before commercial break ends. However, Ram smiled and said his answer and it was correct. Kumar was very upset because he don’t want challenger to get billion rupees. After the commercial, Kumar gave the final question to Ram, but it was not the question he supposed to give. He changed the question because he knew Ram can answer it. I was very surprised in this scene because I was expecting that Ram can win billion rupees and story ends happily. And also felt angrily, for Kumar’s unfairness.
Setting: This story develop in two different places. At the quiz show in British and India.
Point of View: This story is told by the first person, Ram.
Conflict: Ram vs Tragedy. At first, I thought this is a battle between Ram and Kumar, however, I realized that this story is about how Ram got a victory against his poor situation.
Climax: Climax of this story is the scene Ram challenge to the final question. At this moment, he finally used his life boat because he didn’t know the answer.
Symbol: Symbol of this story is money and it symbolizes power. In the story, Ram helped one man by giving large amount of money to save his sick son. Afterward, that man helped Ram by help answering question of the quiz when he called him using his life boat.
Irony: Prem Kumar thought Ram can’t answer the questions because he is poor and couldn’t get education. However, Ram answered all the questions by his dramatic experiences through his life. It shows that sometime, experiences throughout our lives are more useful than what we learn in school.
Theme: In the story, the woman called Smita helped Ram to release from the jail. But her real identity was Gudiya the person who Ram saved. It tells us that helping someone will come back to you afterward.
4) REFLECTING ON THE STORY:(e)How does the character’s life compared to your own?
Ram’ life is completely different from my life. I have a home and able to go to school by my parents’ money. I don’t need to worry about food or where to sleep. I can learn many things in the University. However, Ram’s parent left him in the box in front of the church. At first, he was protected by church people, but few years later, he had to work for his own living. He often had hard time with his job.
After I read this story, I thought that I need to be more independent. Many of my friends are living away from their parents’ but I’m not. So my parents’ make dishes and do the cleaning for me. I’m too nestling up to my parents’ compared to Ram or many other students in Aoyama. The first thing I can do is to get a part-time job. Earning money might be the first step and probably the most important thing to be independent person. I can help husbandry by putting some of my salary in to my house.

About reading meter
There is a web site I often access. It's called 'Reading Meter.' In that site, I can organize my reading life. For example, it shows the average page I read per day, or how many books I read. Not only that, I can search the book and put them in either 'Want to read', 'have it but still not read', and 'finished book.' Ofcourse, there are English book, too. (So I may put my book for the book report after I read it)As the result, if I found interestig books on Amazon book store, I can go to the Reading Meter web site and put that book in the 'want to read' page so I would not forget it.
Another useful function of this web site is the book shelf. In the 'finished book' page, I can classify the books I read by their genre, evaluation, author, or anyway I want. In my page, I classified my book shelves for Japanse book, English book, and How to book. In my book shelf for English book, there are only 12books. So I will work on to fill this book shelf.
By the way, my favorite foreign author is Lemony Snicket. He is an American best selling author who sold his Series of Unfortunate Events 30 million copies. I loved these series because the story is interesting and the English is not so difficult. Now, I'm trying to read Dan Brown's 'Angels and Demons.' This book is much much much difficult compared to Unfortunate Events. It took me a month to read 200 pages and I only understood about 50% of the story. I still hadn't finish this book and I might give up. I also have 'The Da Vinci Code' in my book shelf(in the real life) And my brother living in America will buy me 'Lost Symbol.' I know if I read the translated version of the book, I can enjoy them. But many people say that, the original is much interesting than the translated version. Further more, I'm taking English Literature course in the University, so it's good idea for me to challenge these books.
I have a question. Do I have to write 4 paragraphs even if I had enough sentenses to wright two paragraphs in one paragraph?

World Cup and Japaese players
26days left until FIFA World Cup South Africa. Japan is group E with Cameroon, Netherland, and Denmark. I hope Japan will win group league, but it's very difficult. According to FIFA ranking, Denmark is at 35th, Cameroon is at 19th, and the strongest Netherland is at 4th places. Japan is at 45th place. Superviser Okada is aiming 4th place at World Cup, but every country laugh at his aim.
To win World Cup, Japanese players must play at Europe league. Because most of the top players are playing in these league. Now, 4 Japanese players which, Honda(at Russia), Matsui(at France), Morimoto(at Italy), and Hasebe(at Germany) are playing in Europe league. Nakamura(Scotland) and Inamoto(France) just came back from Europe league to Japan league. Further more, 3 players which Kagawa, Uchida, and Nagatomo playing in Japan league got offer from Bundesliga(Germany league) and Seria A(Italy league) and will play abroad probably after World Cup. I'm expecting these 3 players to become Japan's super star because all of them are still in their early twenty.
I hope all of the Japanese players which play in World Cup 2014 to be playing at Europe league. If this dream come true, I think Japan can win World Cup. Go Japan!
